In 1996 we launched the MULTICULTURAL COMMUNITY CENTRE, an institution committed to assisting those disadvantaged by poverty, sickness, unemployment and racial discrimination. It is actively involved in combating any forms of racism, and acts as an advocate and liaison body.
Through training and employment programs and other initiatives MCC also helps migrants integrate into Australian society. We give them skills to get jobs and help them access mainstream services provided by government and charitable agencies.
Over the years MCC has organized cross cultural workshops and seminars to tackle a variety of issues including:
- Employment services
- Women’s programs
- Computer classes
- Life skills programs
- Multicultural Art Shows
- Assisting Refugees
- Senior Citizens support
- Cultural Awareness training
- Youth Programs – living in harmony
- Homework programs
- DIY classes
- Hospitality training
- Job Search Assistance
