Premier of Queensland Visiting Multicultural Community Centre

On Tuesday 11th August, the Premier of Queensland, Hon Anna Bligh,  visited the Multicultural Community Centre to attend the Graduation ceremony of 57 students, who had just completed Certificate III in Aged Care, and Certificate III in Children’s Services. She congratulated MCC for the wonderful work it is doing for CALD migrants and refugees, especially where training and employment are concerned. Her government has for many years now, funded MCC’s ‘One Stop Shop’ which provides, free training, job preparation classes, literacy and numeracy courses and an employment agency.The Premier spent about one hour fifteen minutes with graduates, their families and VIPs who included the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, Hon Mr Ren Gong Ping and Deputy Consul General , Ms Meng; Michael Choi MP (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Trade) and Grace Grace MP. Over 120 people attended the function, and enjoyed the delicious refreshments and waiters generously provided by the Hospitality Training Association.
